Tracy Galyon RN, ADN, CPAN – has been a nurse for 31 years and has worked in almost all areas of nursing. She has had the privilege of working in some amazing areas and with some phenomenal staff. Tracy started her practice in rural Oklahoma and it still has a piece of her heart. She values the knowledge and experience she has gained during her formative years. Her first recovery room experience was recovering open hearts in the ICU. Tracy loves tubes! Shortly after that time she took a PRN position in a PACU in a small facility. She fell in love with the dynamics and level of patient care she was able to deliver. Tracy began traveling in 2006 and was offered a contract in a PACU as a traveler. She then sat for her CPAN in 2012 while serving as a Supervisor in a Level 1 Trauma Center PACU, where she learned the value of a professional organization on the national (ASPAN) and local level (OSPAN). Tracy currently works as Clinical Supervisor in an ACU environment that allows her to continue to utilize her knowledge in the recovery of surgery patients.
